"Beware which consultant you get an appointment..."

Following an operation and a successful follow up meeting, the second meeting with this consult was effectively cancelled the day before it was due to take place as I was told that because a previous patient had pulled out of an appointment (just before mine) that the surgeon was unhappy and unwilling to wait around for me to attend my appointment! and that I should either attend one of two earlier times (this appointment had been made seven weeks prior to the due date!), which was not possible due to working hours/arrangements or re-make the appointment.

Shame really as I was in a degree of pain ten weeks after the Op, and needed to speak to someone in the right position to help me sort it out - back to my GP then!

All in all, I am shocked at the arrogance displayed during the Phone calls I had with the hospital (one of which was left as a voice message on my mobile should any one want to listen to it!), and will not by choice choose this consultant in the future.
