"Amazing nurses"

We visited the children's ward after my 2year old daughter was taken in by ambulance with suspected meningitis. She was very ill when we arrived. The staff kept us informed of her treatment at all times and were really caring towards her as she had a scary time needing a cannula fitting. The play therapist was great and helped to distract my daughter from her treatment and lent us some toys to play with in the room. We had a lot of family visiting who were worried and the nurses were very understanding.

All the staff that we met were lovely, but the nurses especially did an amazing job. We were given a private room due to the nature of the illness, this was very comforting and the parents room was great when we needed a brew or a wash.
