Thank you for your feedback it is good to receive comments from patients.

I am sorry that you had to leave before you were seen when you visited the department.

Urgent Care Centres do not operate on an appointment system and have different queues which move at different speeds- 1 for illness, 1 for injury, 1 for redressing, 1 for Out of hours patients (during the operating hours of the OOH service).

This is again split over the adults and paediatric departments. Urgent Care Centre targets are the same as A&E targets of patients being seen within 4 hours of arrival but at Queen Mary's the average discharge time is between 1 and 2 hours.

As you have put in your feedback it was a busy Wednesday morning and this week I can confirm it was an exceptionally busy Wednesday this week. I hope that you are recovering from your illness.
