"Rude staff Phlebotomy department"

About: William Harvey Hospital (Ashford)

I visited this department to day and the 2 phlebotomists that were there were very unfriendly. The phlebotomist said "Give me your name and date of birth", it always pays to say please or say it in a friendly manner, after they took the blood they said "done". I know this must be a boring tedious job but sometimes it helps and makes the job better if you are pleasent to patients.

As you say, 'please' is such an important word and being pleasant to patients costs nothing - I am so sorry you had this experience.

We will provide some Customer Service Training in the near future.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

PS I hope the results from the blood test are OK.
