I am from Barrow but now live in Kent.
I was visiting family and friends 3 weeks ago when tragedy struck.
I was 26 weeks pregnant, had no movement from baby, went to Furness General to put my mind at rest only find that there was no heartbeat.
I was in the hospital for 5 days and delivered my little boy there.
The care that I received was outstanding.
Every single member of staff was compassionate and understanding from midwives, doctors, consultants & auxiliaries.
The emotional support that I received was amazing, unexpected and greatly appreciated.
I can only compare the care I have received at Furness General to the care that I had in Kent and there is no comparison.
There was continuity of staff, compassion, practical help and understanding.
I would hate to think of where I would be emotionally now if it was not for the care and support and I received.
If I could choose anywhere to give birth it would be Furness General and cannot recommend them highly enough.
Thank you to all staff - you are angels.
