I was admitted on 22 October for an operation to repair my smashed heel.
I have always had a terrible fear of needles and I was extremely nervous of having an operation.
On my arrival, the staff were aware of my fears and they were absolutely amazing from start to finish.
They embraced my fears and avoided anything that would have fuelled them.
Before the operation I met the surgeon, anaesthetist and countless nurses and carers who all put my mind at rest.
I had the operation and was hospitalised for 3 days.
The biggest compliment that I can pay to all of the staff is that I would have no fear in going back if need be.
"Amazing hospital and staff on St Joseph's Ward"
