I can only say that I have received excellent treatment and care which was of the highest standard at all times of my hospital journey! The only frustrating area was the length of wait between each medically recommended referral to consultants or treatments/tests, then the wait on the surgery list! Once a surgery date was reached, I was impressed with the overall efficiency and consideration that I received. From my consultants secretary to The Appleby Suit to my actual surgeons and anaesthetist plus the theatre nurse who cared for me and to the recovery staff( especially one and the doctor who was summoned by them) who were swift to act when I had a post op crisis!
This was transitioned to the ward staff on A12 who were understaffed but worked their socks off to provide safe and effective care and never neglected me nor anyone else in my bay! Further to this I had to use the post -op surgical assessment unit, A9, who were also very friendly and efficient as well as experienced in their genre. I especially appreciated their support on A9 as I was a 'worried' post-op patient!
Having read other reviews, I feel that I am very lucky to have had such a positive experience and I really do hope there will be a lot more positive experiences expressed in future!:)
