"Nothing"

About: Sunderland Royal Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

Nothing

What could be improved

Everything - I was admitted into hospital after attending my local primary care trust with severe pain in my lower abdomen.

After an initial examination i was referred to A&E who again examined me and thought it was best for me to be admittted to the ward for a scan. This was on the Wednesday, on Thursday still no scan and by Friday no scan either.

On one occassion i asked for pain relief at 7.45 am and finally received this at 11.45pm!! Which is a joke. I end up taking my own paracetamol which luckily i had in my bag.

On Friday morning i was then told by the consultant that if i did not get my scan that day day then i would be in all weekend, i could not stand a minute longer in that place and therfore he suggested he would organise for the scan to be done as an outpatient. To date im still waiting.....

I was discharge with no pain relief, no discharge letter for my doctor nothing.

Basically suffer in silence thats why i say!

Anything else?

My bed sheets were dirty had an old plaster stuck to them off someone else! The food was hurrendous i couldnt bare the smell never mind the taste!
