About: Springfield Hospital

I recently had a knee replacement at Springfield Hospital and was very happy at the treatment there. I had an unfortunate experience in March which was nothing to do with Springfield but was due to an extremely bad agency nurse. The staff went out of their way to give me every assurance and was the complete opposite of my previous experience. The nurses were very caring professional and helpful, this time I could not fault them and saw nursing at its best. Even the kitchen staff and cleaners, plus the physios were really most efficient and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay! (apart from the pain!)

I always maintained it was not the hospital who were at fault previously, just one very bad apple but the hospital assured me this nurse would never be allowed there again and they have, in fact, staffed their own nurses fully now and do not use agency staff.

I could not have had a better experience at this hospital this time and would fully recommend it.
