"Aortic dissection emergency"

About: Hinchingbrooke Hospital

At around 07.00 hrs on the 11th October my wife, Christine suffered an aortic dissection.

I want to put on record our view that the treatment she received could not have been bettered.

The ambulance arrived within a few minutes of the 999 call.

The crew assessed the action required and had her in Hinchingbrooke A & E in less than 30 minutes.

She was stabilised and quicky diagnosed.

As a result, Chris was transferred to Addenbrookes where she subsequently received an aortic stent.

Chris is now home and recovering.

Our sincere thanks to all in Hinchinbrooke

A & E for the care and expertise Chris received.
