About: The Princess Royal Maternity Unit / Maternity care (wards 68, 72 &73)

(as the patient),

Arrived at maternity assessment as Had been experiencing contractions at home. Was taken care of very well despite an obvious staff shortage. Promptly taken to theatre and was delivered of a beautiful baby girl by emergency c section by a fabulous team of staff.

Arrived on the post natal ward and was looker after by a lovely midwife called caoihme..a lovelier girl you could not meet...really went the extra mile and nothing was a hastle to her.

All in all a very positive experience and I would reccomend the PRM to anyone

I work in a small team in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde which seeks to involve patients and carers in the work of the NHS. The biggest part of my role is in managing feedback projects across the Board area, one of which is Patient Opinion. It is my job to give our patients and carers the opportunity to give us feedback, and to make sure that this is passed to the right people to help us improve the services we provide.

Congratulations on the birth of your baby girl! What an exciting time for you and the rest of your family! I'm sure it is also a very busy time, so I really appreciate you making the effort to give us your feedback on the care you received - it is definitely a testament to the staff that you have done so!

I look forward to passing on your comments to the team, and in particular Caoihme who I'm sure will be really pleased to hear the difference that she made to you at such a special time.
