Referred to A&E by my Doctors surgery on 22/10/15 quickly seen by Matron who was professional, polite and highly competent, referred to Doctors and then admitted to Surgical ward 6. Staff here were fantastic from the night shift carer who let me use their phone to make a urgent call (bedside phone not working during my 5 days stay despite nurses reporting it) to all the others who cared for me after my operation. No matter what race creed or sex they were all had interest in my care and comfort, all introduced themselves to me when starting shifts if new to the ward. To conclude although I had a painful leg wound all the staff here in this hospital including surgical team made my stay as least painful as possible in a highly professional manner. Even the food was good but as a vegetarian I would have expected to be asked first before adding gravy to a hot meal!
Thank you all involved
