"Clementine wards A and B"

About: Queen's Hospital (Romford)

During a recent stay at queen's, I was lucky enough to be on Clementine. It was a trauma for me to be so unwell, but the nurses, doctors, students, and all health workers involved in my care, were what the NHS Can be proud of. I have seldom seen such hard working nurses, in particular on the night duty, where the staffing levels are lower. Most nights were non stop call bells ringing but each time a nurse entered the bay to answer a call, the patient was treated with dignity, respect and a smile.

The nurses I feel deserve recognition for their professionalism. Also big thanks to the deliverers of food who had a tough job with my veggie/diabetic diet, but always came up with something.

After a far from good experience in AAU last year, I was filled with dread at the thought of having to go through it again, it was necessary for me to liaise with matron at the time. They could learn a lot from Clementine.

A big thank you and welll done to all.

Best regards, Georgina di Lorenzo.
