"Let down by Crisis Team"

About: Coventry And Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust / Adult mental health

(as the patient),

I feel like I have had the most awful treatment from coventry and Warwickshire's crisis team.

I felt fobbed off, ignored, left to basically starve to death. If it wasn't from intervention from my GP I would not be alive today.

It has been such a truly gruelling and despairing process I ended up relocating to Scotland.

Since moving the care from the mental health team has been fantastic and I am fully recovered.

My GP in both England and Scotland were so disgusted that both have put in formal complaints.

I am incredibly greatful for their support and acknowledgement that there is a real problem with the way myself and many others have been treated.

The scary thing is that already a few very publisised cases have been brought too the attention of the media but only once someone has ended their life. This needs to be sorted so no one EVER slips through the huge cracks within this service.
