About: Royal Bournemouth General Hospital

I am pleased to evidence a long overdue public comment about the consistently professional , focused and sensitive care offered by this overworked team. Clearly this is not an area of specialism for everyone and I applaud the service provided by the Consultant and their admin support colleague. They are sensitive at all times to the dignity issues for both patient and carer alike and this is so very much appreciated.

It strikes me that if monies allowed this team could benefit from growth posts. They are life savers and their tenacity and willingness to listen and respect individual needs, despite the pressures of demand, allows for hope and new skills and knowledge ..awesome...many, many thanks

It is maybe of note that Stoma Care...not Colorectal Cancer care is not on the drop down list

Thank you for taking the time to offer your comments about the Stoma team and you are correct about them being a small but dedicated team. They receive many positive comments each month and this is evident in the Friends and Family Test score which has consistently been 100% over the previous quarter.

It is good to know that you feel treated like an individual by professionals who respect your needs with sensitivity and care and a willingness to listen to you.

I will be pleased to pass on your comments to the team as I know they appreciate the feedback they receive.

With regard to your comment about the heading used for placing your comment I believe these headings are set by the website and not the Trust so unfortunately I am unable to change them but I thank you for drawing this to our attention.
