On 20th September I brought my Gran to A&E with abdominal pain. She has a AAA so we were worried. The pain turned out to be unrelated and cleared up quickly.
However, as part of the care she received the consultant on duty ordered a chest x-ray to rule out any issues. There were non related to the pain. They did however notice a shadow and referred her for further tests. It turned out that she has Lung Cancer.
We now know that it can be treated successfully as it was caught very early.
We have no doubt it could have been a very different story if the consultant was not so thorough. For that we owe more than a very big thank you!
A fantastic service provided by very dedicated staff
A massive thank you to the Bexley Wing too for treating my gran with compassion and respect.
