"Care and advice regarding a bad outbreak of eczema"

About: Ayr Hospital / General Medicine

(as the patient),

I came back from holiday with a chronic outbreak of eczema. Within half an hour of landing I phoned the dermatology clinic, heathfield suite, Ayr hospital. The nurse I spoke to was very sympathetic and told me to immediately come to the hospital.

I felt so ill and the staff immediately took care of me and gave me reassurance that my skin would respond to treatment. They applied creams and bandaged me up and gave me a supply of medication to take home with me.

I returned almost everyday and I was treated so well and given really good advice. They were always cheery and brought a smile to my face.

After many weeks my skin is almost perfect and I can't thank them enough for their care, professionalism and kindness.

Dear Beth jacq,

That must have been quite scary but it is amazing what can be done with skill, expertise and TLC. I will be delighted to pass this to the team to thank them and let them know how you felt about their treatment of you. Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your care. I hope you are luckier with your next holiday destination and it does not happen again.

Best wishes

Eunice
