"Struggled to get help"

About: Northgate Hospital

I tried to get help here through my GP, but just got messed around. I got phone calls from Northgate hospital asking why I missed my appointments. When I never received any letters or phone calls to tell me when my appointments were. Because of this my treatment was non existent and I was made to look like a lier to my GP. My GP didn't believe me when I told them i wasn't told when my appointments were. So my GP thinks I missed my appointments on purpose. I now have no confidence in getting help for my mental health problems. Also It will probably be harder for me to get any therapy if I have the confidence in a asking again. Thanks for nothing.

Lawrence We are sorry to hear about your experiences, it seems that you haven’t been receiving important appointment information and it would be helpful if we could discuss this so we can understand the situation and try and support you. If you could contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service colleagues on BT Freephone 0800 2797257 or 01603 421191/ pals@nsft.nhs.uk quoting reference PALS N15-11 they will be happy to discuss this with you. Thank you
