"Excellent care"

About: University Hospital Aintree

I have cancer and am thus a frequent flyer at Aintree Hospital.

I was disappointed with the care I received during several visits to A&E. I had all the symptoms of a bowel obstruction yet was several times dismissed as just having a stomach bug - even after my cancer diagnosis. This, combined with dismissive GPs, led to a nine month delay in me getting the treatment I required.

However, since then, the hospital has redeemed itself thanks to the care of the wonderful consultant and nurse. I have also been very impressed with the nurses on Ward 3 and the great reception staff at elective care, who are always very kind.
