"Caring staff on Stroke Ward"

About: New Cross Hospital

As a 41 year old stroke patient I was obviously one of the younger patients on the stroke ward. I cannot thank all the staff enough for the care they gave me during my 2 week stay on the ward, before leaving for West Park NRU. All Nurses, Consultants, HCA's, Physios, OT's, Speech & Language, cleaners and catering staff would take time out to come & chat, say hello & answer any questions I had. They helped me come to terms with what had happened to me and I was made to feel at ease & felt safe in my surroundings. I was always clear about what was going on with my care. The staff work so hard & I think they do a fabulous job. Thank you all so much.
