What I liked

All the staff on ward 3 had time for me, ensuring I knew what was happening in my treatment. They were caring and kind, nothing seem to be a bother. Even serve breakfast later after I got washed and changed.I was impressed with the standard of hygiene and the domestic staff were friendly and hard working.

With being in a single room, I never felt isolated as the staff kept checking I was o'kay.

What could be improved

Reduce the cost of the T.V.

Anything else?

With needing a mastectomy I felt scared and frighted, But the consultant and staff team were excellent, giving information and re-assurance.

But I needed to be transferred to another hospital, due to problems. What a shock ? complete different routine, staffing level and standard of hygiene. Hexham Hospital like a 5 star hotel, possible partly to it being so new. But it is the staff caring attitude at Hexham that counts to me.
