Recently I badly injured my foot playing sports. I heard a loud pop and tear in the arch. Wasn't able to walk. Foot swelled like a balloon. Was absolute agony. Went to the emergency at qmc and waited four or so hours to be seen by a nurse that looked at my foot from six feet away without even making any contact with my foot and just passed me a prescription for painkillers. I asked if there was any chance of an X-ray and the nurse said "no" and sent me out.
Before leaving I asked where to be my prescription as I'm new to Nottingham and the nurse said "any chemist in Nottingham will be able to give them to you" incorrect. As I traveled in agony to the city, not knowing I had to get them on site at the hospital to find out I could have something from the chemist at a tenth of the strength.
I still have trouble with my foot and it was one of the worst experiences I've had in a hospital and I've had some bad experiences.
I would go out of my way to avoid this hospital, even if my life counted on it, I would avoid at all costs.
