"Visit to A and E on a saturday night"

About: East Surrey Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as a relative),

My wife had a previous procedure at the hospital when they said if certain conditions returned come back to the hospital which we did via an ambulance. I followed by car and on my arrival not long after my wife she was in the casualty and all was calm and an air of professional organisation even though a Saturday night. My wife was well cared for and every staff contact was professional and caring. The Doctor Bryan who spoke with my wife and listened carefully and came up with a plan was excellent. By chance a cardiologist was on the unit and he was consulted agreeing with Dr Bryan's plan. All in all not the best way to spend a Saturday night but we came away pleased with the care and very reassured.

Dear Countryman,

Thank you for your feeback about your wife's care. It can be a worrying time when you have to return to hospital, but it is good to hear that you felt our staff were professional and caring. I will ensure that my colleagues in the Emergency Department are aware of your feedback and pass your thanks on to Dr. Bryan.

I hope your wife is recovering well.

With best wishes,

Cathy White
