"Bedsore not found at Royal Bolton"

About: Royal Bolton Hospital

(as the patient),

My wife kept falling without warning and went into Royal Bolton, on ward 4. She came out with a bedsore on her bottom and had not been treated for this or notified that it was there. It was only when my wife came home that the West Houghton District nurses found my wife had a bedsore on her bottom. It hadn't been treated and consequently she has been in an orthopaedic bed for 13 months. She is still in bed and treated daily by West Houghton District nurses (once a day). We have care people 3 times per day. The Bolton hospital nurses never mentioned this sore, it was only when she came out of this hospital that the nurses from West Houghton Clinic found it . This is unacceptable . I am so angry that they let this happen to my wife. The nurses were run off their feet, but they still should have found it! My wife and I are both in our eighties. I have to look after the house and care for my wife. We are too old for this business!
