"Young mum"

First child and chose York hospital as my mother had me there. The pre and postnatal staff were shocking. They seem to disregard the fact I was 18 and in incredible pre labour pain and didn't everything to keep me out of th hospital. I had to call my doctors surgery and speak to my own doctor who was horrified with the treatment I was getting and called the staff up to tell them off. While I was in the labour the midwife and training midwife was absolutely fantastic!!! I ended up having to have forceps and the surgeons I couldn't fault them at all. They really looked after me and made sure me and my son were ok. Post labour. I had a dry birth so both me and my son were more susceptible to becoming ill. They were supposed to check me every 2 hours and since I came out of labour at 6:00am I was not seen too till 6:00pm and that's only because I was pushing to leave. Even though no one looked after me all day when I wanted to leave they told me I couldn't because I had cut catch infection and put me and my son under a lot of stress as they wouldn't take the security tag off him so we could leave. This was one of the worst memories I have had. I'm not even sure if I want another child after as I am terrified I will get the same service again somewhere else.
