"I have mixed reviews I'm afraid"

About: Manor Hospital

I was induced at 40 weeks on a ward primrose, the staff were awful, after seeing 3 midwives I was induced, cut a long story short it worked straight away and was given 2 codamol for pain which lasted 12 hours. Then was given a petadine which was useless, 10 hours in the midwife lent up the sink and asked me why I was been induced ?? I thought the midwife was ment to read my notes. Anyway @515 am a midwife came from delivery suite and collected me in a wheel chair. Well what a difference. Efficient profesional and in control. In fact fantastic. This midwife booked me a epidural. Then I had a new midwife as mine was at the end of shift, who also was 5 star and faultless, I didn't even swear! Unfortunately my baby turned and after 2 visits from the doc they decided to take me to theatre to try and get baby out but still no joy and the doc performed an emergent c section. The theatre staff were fantastic I really can not fault them, my midwife didn't leave my side, all were great, just a shame the first 12 hours were hell, the ward afterwards (foxglove) they were lovely aswell. The sisters work very hard and are efficient and cheerful, in fact they taught me a lot that night I stayed in a after my op. I hadn't got a clue what to do with a baby, who is now 6 weeks old and 12 lb and beautiful. So a mixed review I'm afraid, but really from the bottom of my heart a big thank you to the staff on delivery suite and theatre on sat 12 sept 2015. You really are wonderful xx
