What I liked
My mother was admitted to Ward 28 after developing pneumonia whilst at Carter Bequest. The doctors and nursing staff were very honest but sensitive in preparing us for her likely death. She was treated with utmost care and dignity, and staff did all they could to make her comfortable.
My family and I were allowed to come and go during her last days, so we were able to spend precious time with her. We were also looked after with such care and respect.
We cannot speak too highly of the staff of Ward 28, and we are very grateful for their care and caring.
What could be improved
The only downside was the parking. Those family members who were not able to access the travel office during their rather limited opening hours paid huge costs to come and watch over their dying mother! Could passes not be vended via a machine, or some method to make it easier for those who cannot access the office during their working hours?
