"Excellent care and procedure"

About: Woodland Hospital

I have had two new total knee replacements at 7 week intervals and can't give enough praise for the overall care and treatment. I had two types of anaesthetic administered. For the first operation I had an epidural and the second one was a spinal one where I was totally awake whilst having the operation. I must say that this method is far better than the first one and although I didn't have any thing to drown out the various sounds during the operation, this didn't really bother me and I would definitely recommend this type of anaesthetic as there are no long lasting effects after the op. I'm sure that you would be allowed to listen to your personal choice of music via ear phones if requested. My recovery was quite rapid. I dispensed with my sticks about 3 weeks after each operation and never had a sleepless night after my second one. My thanks go to the surgeon and their team for their skill and professionalism through both operations. I would highly recommend this hospital to anyone.
