"Far better then I thought!"

Currently some money really needs to be used to improve the hospitals look. E.g some doors are old and rotting, old windows etc. The staff on the day surgery ward were very nice and helpful. I felt at ease and I felt well looked after. It took only 3 hours from entry to the OR so really not long at all. The anaesthetist were amazing! I'm a person who spends a lot of time worrying but I feel so looked after by these guys. They explain everything, cracked a few jokes and made me feel very confident about the surgery. When they inserted the cannula into the back of my hand I felt very little pain and feel asleep completely unaware of it. Can't rate the anaesthetists enough really really skilled and just out right good doctors. I woke up about 2 hours later and I had no idea how I feel asleep! I was greeted but a very kind nurse in recovery and who made me feel comfortable. I was transported back to the wing and discharged about an hour and a half later. Despite the reputation I would say I had a really good experience with some well trained staff. I'm Very happy with the service and felt at ease the whole. Thank you too all the staff only 7.30 hours in hospital and very little pain after.

This is how the NHS should be run, very impressed.
