"Poor care"

The building suffers with damp & mould in the bedrooms which is a problem for my relative due to specific health reasons. Their nails are really long & dirty with personal hygiene often neglected. My relative is incontinent & is only offered a bath once a week (this usually needs to be asked for). My relative has been wearing the incorrect size of shoes (too small) & has blisters all over their feet. They have no deodorant & their clothes are always been worn by other residents. The home won’t buy my relative things when they need them (even though it is out of their own pocket) so I am always left to do this which I don’t have time for. I am always bringing stuff in for them. They are often left without drinks until late into the evening after going without all afternoon. The staff always make promises to make changes or buy things for my relative & never do.

My relative suffers with a number of serious health conditions & none of them are checked / followed up with healthcare professionals.

The manager seems rude & I can always hear them shouting at the residents. I am so upset by their care, I am thinking of bringing them home with me & caring for them myself which I cannot in reality manage but I hate seeing them treated in this way. Social Worker provision has been very hit & miss.
