"NHS Lanarkshire - Podiatrist"

About: Lanarkshire Community Services / Podiatry University Hospital Monklands / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I had an appointment with Jim NHS Lanarkshire in early October 2015 for a long standing foot issue. I was delighted with the service that I received from Jim and the X Ray Department. I was treated very quickly and felt that Jim spent sufficient time explaining my injury and reassuring me regarding a rehab plan. I have to say that Jim very much reinstated my faith in the NHS after earlier being passed around between departments - which to be fair was probably down to my GP not following the proper procedures. I'm now waiting a follow up with another Podiatrist to review my insoles so hopefully that will be imminent now I'm on the rehab track.

My only criticism is that they didn't have equipment to adjust the insole.

Dear PatientAndy,

Thanks for taking the time to get in touch. I’m pleased to hear that you are now getting the treatment, care and support you feel you need.

The Head of Profession for Podiatry was delighted to read about the support Jim has been able to provide for you along with the x-ray department. He's going to share your feedback with them and discuss the equipment issue you have raised.

I wish you well with your continuing progress on the “rehab track”.

Kind regards
