What I liked
A few of the staff in Ward 24 but most dont give patients the dignity and respect that they deserve
What could be improved
Staff following preventative actions for prevention of infection. Just because a patient is 'padded up' they still need to have the rights to be taken to the toilet. Doctors MUST read and understand who and what the patients problems. If a patient is given information on their care it must be followed through and not let the patient down. Falls must be reported and preventative measures to be taken to prevent others falling. A week on no measure was taken and further patient fell in same place! The toilet in Ward 24 is filthy and has been very smelly. Staff should realise that families need to be informed on care. It took till the 3rd day for an xray to be taken of 82 year old who had had a bad fall injuring his back and full left side. Complaint form promised over a week ago still failed to appear. A full diary of lack of treatment and poor care is available. My mother and I have complained but we are tired of no notice being taken. When my father returns home I am going to publicise all of the findings to the Health Minister, Local Press, Chief Executive of NHS etc There are many other details which are to be include in my full report
Anything else?
I will be very surprised if this appears on your web site as I have already spoken to clerks manning a display and they filled in the survey. A full copy of this has been saved.
I have full permission of the patient and am working to improve the service Older People are receiving from the hospitals in this area
