I was sent to the BRI by my GP for abdominal pain. From the start of treatment to the end I was amazed and grateful for the care, concern and compassion shown by staff at A&E and on ward A800. The staff in A&E while under pressure spent time with me, involved me in my care and referred me on to the relevant doctors and departments to determine the cause of illness. While this took some time nothing was too much trouble, the staff friendly and constantly informative. On the ward I was allocated an impressive private room and was visited by the surgeon within the hour. All nurses (including student nurses) and catering staff went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and nothing was too much trouble. Hospitals can be daunting but they were reassuring and take me though my care. Since my return home I have already been called by my GP following communication from the hospital and further tests arranged. I have to say this hospital is first class and the staff are a credit to the NHS. Thank you.
"Amazing care and staff - a credit tot he NHS"
