I accompanied my wife to the WSH today who had a CAT scan. On arrival at the unit the receptionist was very helpful and supportive. Whilst my wife had her scan I observed just how good a professional this individual was, polite and respectful of each and every patient who arrived at reception. They not only took patient detail they also showed them to the changing rooms, chatting to them as they did so and putting them at ease during, at very stressful time for many.
This sort of empathic service is impossible to measure and quantified. The dedication and commitment of such staff is priceless. Long may such individuals continue to work for the NHS.
"Dedicated and thoughtful staff"
