About: King's College Hospital (Denmark Hill)

Went to Queen Mary's. Told the issue required A&E, and the Registrar, might possibly be serious. Letter explained this.

Had to sit through screening & triage again, having been told we needed the Registrar.

Told that as QM hadn;t called, it wasn't urgent.

Sat like idiots from 530....well....to 930 and still counting.... Still don't know if it's urgent!

I am sorry to hear of your frustration. There is an Urgent Care Centre based at the Queen Marys Hospital site which is not managed by Kings College Hospital.Based on your comment it sounds as though they felt that you needed to be seen by a senior medical doctor and recommended you attending Accident and Emergency at Denmark Hill or Princess Royal sites. I am afraid that unless these departments receive a call from a referring centre you would be waiting to be seen a fresh as a patient as assessed at triage. If you would like this to be investigated please contact us, our email address is kch-tr.pals@nhs.net
