"Admission to A & E 15 Oct 2015 for urination..."

About: Lister Hospital

I was admitted to A & e on 15 Oct 2015 and discharged on 16 Oct.

I cannot praise the doctor I saw enough for their competence/ consideration and evaluation.

However their superior was dismissive and was not interested in my symptoms. all they wished to do was get rid of me,fit me with a catheter and bag and push me out.

A Dr sat with me for some time and asked many questions in the morning.

I do wish I could thank them I am so grateful to them.

Later I had a enema and was given a tablet and later all my symptoms disappeared. and I was discharged. Without catheter and bag.

Although eighty years of age I cycle regularly fifty or so miles and kayak on the Broads leading a life or a semi retired architect.

I will always be grateful to that doctor and their colleague. Without the catheter threat all the above scores would have bee five star

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your experiences.

We will be delighted to pass on your kind words and are glad that you were happy with the majority of your care.

However, we are concerned that you felt one of our team was dismissive – if you would like us to investigate, please email us with more details at generalenquiries.enh-tr@nhs.net and we will gladly do so.

Meanwhile, we wish you well and – with the best will in the world – hope we don’t see you again soon!
