"A great team at West Bridgford"

It all started in 2014. Our child was having real problems at school & we did not know where to turn, when someone said to us to see if there was anyone that could help us at the West Bridgford Sure start centre. We went straight over on the same day & met a lovely lady called Kathryn. My wife had a good cry on her shoulder & we told her about the situation & she said that she could help. Kathryn asked us to come back on the following day & then started us with some reward charts for our child & gave us some ideas to try. Unfortunately Kathryn was having problems in her pregnancy, so she passed our case onto another lovely lady, Jackie & since then until very recently, Jackie & her line manager, Kelly have been very supportive & influential in assisting us to help our child. They were a life saver in getting things done by our child's school, to which prior to this was not really effective or existent. Our child is now under a Paediatrician, as there are concerns around ADHD & other areas, to which the Sure start team had an input & there are now clear strategies & guidelines in place to help with our child's delayed development. Our child has had to struggle massively & this has started to hamper confidence, learning & social aspects, but without the help from a great team at West Bridgford, a support network & strategy would not of been put in place. Well done ladies & many thanks from us & our child.
