"Broken ankle"

About: Queen Elizabeth I I Hospital (Welwyn Garden City)

Went in on a Monday afternoon with a swollen ankle expecting to be there until the evening. There was a queue but I was seen in 15 minutes sent for an X-ray. Went straight in and had the X-ray. Back to reception and waited 5 minutes to be called back told I had a broken ankle and from there to have it plastered. I was out in just over an hour. All the staff were exceptionally helpful and cheerful. There were plenty of patients so it was not very quiete but just everything happened so efficiently. I had to leave the car in the carp ark as I couldn't drive with a plaster on. It was collected the next day without a parking charge. What a great A&E or Urgent Care experience. Best I have ever had

Glad to hear that you had a such positive experience of our urgent care centre at the New QEII - the team will be so pleased to read your feedback, which we have just sent across to them.

In the meantime, we hope that your ankle gets better soon.
