Ward clean but informed that bed tables not cleaned daily, causing patient to use only functioning hand and own wipes. Staff giving out food unaware which patient is capable of accessing food. Patient felt uneasy asking for help as it was met with an exasperated sigh.I hope that the rehabilitation staff are more aware of the problems of stroke recovery. Other problems that I observed, the handheld bed adjuster on patients disabled side, the design of replacement for lockers, well behind the bed, making it impossible for any patient to access.
The only available space is the bed table for all the things that a patient needs near.
On another tack, the entrance hall is magnificent including a display case holding all the awards the hospital has received ??? And also containing hospital 'silver' completely black with tarnish!.
I gather that the immediate treatment ,scans etc. was very good.
