"Continued Problems still trying to get..."

I have developed a complication following Gynaecological surgery my G P has referred me back to the Consultant who performed the operation. After a three week wait I had a "Telephone Assessment" an appointment to make an appointment.

I now find they cannot make me an appointment and I will have to wait for the hospital to contact me. I was told if I had not heard in two weeks I should telephone the hospital appointments.

I cannot understand what is going on. In my opinion the outpatients appointment system is completely unsatisfactory
