"unsafe and chaotic"

Having been detained on many different wards over the last thirty-five years, Kingsley Green assessment unit, Swift ward, has been the only admission, where I felt unsafe, ignored and threatened. I witnessed several unsafe practices largely by health care staff. Very few of the staff introduced themselves, some of the staff were rude and abrupt in their manner, drug rounds were a farce, given the wrong dosage on one occasion, the running of the ward seemed chaotic and disorganised. Not given entry card for two days after arrival no way of exiting bedroom corridor, unless someone with a card appeared. Bag search carried out on dining room table in full view of other patients, having personal items on display on a mixed ward, very undignified, Frail man manhandled into wheelchair, falling on the floor on one occasion, HCA's seemingly untrained in many aspects of their work, I could list several other examples of bad care and organisation the list is endless. hpft, are obviously very proud of their new hospital, good design does not make a good hospital, shame more effort has not gone into working practices and well-trained staff.
