I was referred by my dentist to Manchester University Dental Hospital and was advised to have dental implants to retain a lower denture. I was in the care of the same consultant and team of nurses for most of my appointments.

I was so lucky as I was told I only just had enough bone left for implants to be fitted which if not would have resulted in basically having diets of mainly soup for the rest of my life.

After a few appointments I was asked to consider taking part in a trial for my treatment and was given time to decide. I was also given lots of information beforehand. I agreed and had mini implants which have been absolutely brilliant. The new operation lasted about ten minutes and then I was on my way home. That was in November 2014.

I attended a meeting last Friday to speak of my experience and everyone was great as usual. It was the least I could do as the team had been so supportive throughout and always answered any questions as well as saving me a fortune.

All my appointments were arranged well in advance and tailored to suit me as I travelled from Staffordshire. All staff on reception were most polite and helpful.. I can't understand why some reviewers said the opposite as I had no complaints at all. Such a shame that a few chose to remain anonymous despite having so many issues. I am very happy and would recommend the hospital to anyone needing help in the future. Well done to a fantastic group of professionals who are dedicated and great ambassador's to our NHS.
