"The porters"

About: King's College Hospital (Denmark Hill)

The porters are always pretty much ignored, but I was in Nuero for about 9weeks and one of the porters took pity on me and so I got some fresh air and was away from the ward for a bit. The porter used to bring a wheelchair and take me for a walk, kindness is at all levels in there, what a nice person.

I am sorry that the staff on the ward were unable to offer you more frequent opportunities to leave the ward. They could have contacted our hospital volunteers who have wheelchairs and would have taken you off the ward if your were medically able to do so for a break. It is good to hear that the porter was sympathetic to your situation and took you out.
