"Minor injuries unit"

About: Queen Victoria Hospital (East Grinstead)

I attended the Minor Injuries in August with a wrist injury. This Unit made me feel confident that they actually "listened to me"". It was the first time I had received treatment here as a patient myself, although my son underwent major orthodontic and jaw surgery last year and experienced superior care.

As a nurse I could be more critical than most patients. I know how things should be done, how patients should be treated, and how care should be administered and evaluated. However, I could not have felt more professionally treated and respected. The Out- patient physiotherapy Unit is superb, being efficiently serviced by 2 receptionists whilst the physio team is specific in their treatment regimes.

It is possible I will need surgery to my hand in the near future and I would have no hesitation to have this surgery at the QVH. It is always a good indication of how good a hospital service is if you ask a clinician where they would prefer to be admitted if they needed treatment for themselves or their loved ones.

Well done to all the staff and thank you!

Dear Debbie

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, we are always pleased to receive such feedback. This is what we strive for patients to experience every time, so it is very motivating and rewarding for our excellent staff in our Minor Injuries Unit and Physiotherapy Department to know that we have met a patients expectations, especially when that patient is also a healthcare professional.

We wish you all the best with your continued recovery and future surgery. Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences.

Kind regards

Nicolle Ferguson, Patient Experience Manager
