"spinal cord tumor"

About: Queen's Hospital (Romford)

I was referred here by my GP and i was under the care of my consultant for removal of spinal cord tumor c1 to c5, from start to finish i had the most wonderful experience, apart from the consultant's secretary who was rude and unhelpful and left me in tears. but the care i received during my operation was outstanding, the consultant is very professional and caring and explains everything you need to know which is very reassuring. My operation was very successful and that's because they're a very good surgeon, i was on Sahara B ward for 4 days and all the staff there was very professional and dedicated to there job and i cant thank them enough for the care i received. I was seen by physio the day before going home and they set up physio for when i got home and this too was an outstanding service, Also the after care has been brilliant. I cant praise the neurosurgery department enough apart from the horrid secretary who thinks they rule the roost but they are just a messenger! but all the professional staff where amazing and again i cant thank them enough.

Thanks for sharing your comments. It’s fantastic to hear about your experience with the neurosurgery team was so positive during your visit to Queen’s Hospital. It sounds like you received great care and I am most certainly proud of our teams who delivered this to you.

I am however concerned to hear about your experience with the consultant's secretary. I want to make sure that your concerns are looked into. Please contact me through our PALS team with more information on 01708 435 454 or email PALS@bhrhospitals.nhs.uk.

Yours sincerely Nadeem Moghal Medical Director
