"Waited all day for a 10 minute op"

About: Oaklands Hospital

Arrived 10.45 for my appointment at 11 am was sat in two different waiting rooms for5+ hours then had my op and asked if I could have a drink and nurse brought a paper cup with a mouthful of coffee in it and said it had run out

I asked again but was ignored I couldn't wait to go home I'd not had a drink since 8.45 in the morning because I was having general anaesthetic

I would never recommend this hospital to anybody I suppose if I was paying I would have been looked after

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your experience. Please accept my apologies for the experience you had with us and please be assured that we have addressed the issues that caused your delay for admission and spoken to our nursing staff regarding drinks - we have an on-site chef so drinks and food are always available and this has been reiterated. There is no difference in the clinical care we provide our NHS or private patients, we aim to treat both with the highest levels of customer service. Even though your experience was a one off, I acknowledge it was still unacceptable and have taken steps to prevent it from being repeated.
