What could be improved
My 17 year old son was a patient and put on the childrens' ward. The auxillary staff were perfectly in tune with the difference between young children and adolsescents but the young sister in charge was totally unskilled with teenagers and entered into a battle of wills with my son. She was manipulative, patronising and juudgmental and as soon as she decided we could leave (no docors seen post surgery) he ommented in the car " so I suppose that was nurse Ratchett" For older teenagers I would hold out for the adult wards. Also asked several times for blankets as he was shivering with cold and pain and ended up rooting through cupboard myself. Weren't told until afterwards that if we had kept receipts we could have claimed parking. Not shown the kitchen facilities etc.
