A hospital should not be judged based on its parking but our experience is turning sour as we are now being sent fines from the clinics outsourced parking company. Parking is free for patients and guests (you sign in when you arrive) but the parking company doesn't seem to care if you were guest or not... conveniently no phone number to call and they are asking for communication via letters. Oh, and in the last response they asked me to go back to the hospital in Blackheath to make copies of the registration.... and then mail it to them.... I bet they are assuming some people will just pay the fine than going through the headache with them! I will neiher take my time to go back to the hospital nor will I pay the fine. Anyhow, this may not be the hospitals fault per se, but you may want to keep an overly aggresive parking enforcement in mind. I asked a person at the hospital if I was the only one and I clearly aren't!

Thank you for your positive comments about our treatment and staff. We are sorry to read that you have had parking issues; we will monitor feedback about the parking company. We were compelled to outsource the management of our car park because we are keen to continue offering free parking to our patients.

If a patient contacts us as soon as they receive a ticket we can check the register or patient database and ask the parking company to rescind it. However, as with all car parking fines, if this is not done, the fine proceeds. You do not have to return to the hospital to do this yourself, please do phone the hospital and ask them for help with this.
