What I liked
Very little to like
What could be improved
Bedside cabinet still had dirty towel and makeup bag from last occupant. Was given no food, drinks or even water from being admitted at 5:00pm until 8:00am next morning. Nurses not responding to elderly woman with dementia, I had to haul her back into bed, even though I hobbled to the reception desk twice to raise the alarm. Nurses talking about the patients and relatives in a cruel manner, the patient was a pain and the son was only visiting out of guilt apparantly. One toilet working for at least 20 patients and it had blood on it when I went to use it. The ward was busy with admissions all night, very very noisy with no privacy at all. I was in a bay with 4 beds, mixed sexes....horrendous.
Anything else?
Having always had a high regard for the NHS and the work they do, I have been left feeling quite disgusted by the attitude of a lot of the staff, the general cleanliness and the organisation I have seen. Pray to God I do not need to go back there again. Having said that, this was one ward, with one set of staff - others might be superb.
