"No follow up appointment, feel stuck"

About: New Cross Hospital

I was referred by an Ophthalmist around Oct/Nov 2014 for my son's eye, after tests the consultants do not know what a 'white legion' in my son's eye is, so they sent the info' to Birmingham Children's Hospital and its still a mystery. The eye consultant said they will follow it up a year later.

A year later, I have not heard anything, I rang my GP who told me to speak with Wolverhampton. I spoke with the Appointments Office at Wolves and they said they do not understand the note on my son's file and told me to talk to my GP again.

Can't the Appointments Office just ask the consultant who dealt with my son, maybe email him and ask him the situation? The purpose of the notes is inform, if the notes are not informative, what can our GP do? The GP needs the notes to make a decision?

I really do not know what I should do?
